Overall impression of The Arrival: I was glad that there were no words because I thought it would be easy. I think that graphic novels are better than regular novels because you have to gain your own understanding instead of it being told to you.
I relate worse because of the lack of words because there could be different interpretations and you don't know if your interpretation is correct.
The choice of colors affects how I see the story because the book is not in actual color so that tells me about the time period.
My favorite image is when he was reunited with his family.
My least favorite image is the picture of the havoc in their home.
A large image that uses detail is when he had dinner with the man he met and his family.
I could not leave everything/everyone completely behind for a new life.
I can relate because I left for college but it's not nearly as extreme as his situation.
