Dear future self,
I hope you've gotten your life together, being 30 years old and all. Right now, at the age of 18 when you should be at your prime, your stress level is equivalent to that of a conservative doctor who is trying to discipline his rebellious daughter, who insists on becoming a tattoo artist. But at least you started exercising regularly. Do you still exercise? If not, what the heck are you doing? I can smell the pizza from here! Put it down. Or maybe I don't smell it. I may smell broccoli. It depends on if you're still trying to be healthy. I hope you're successful. It's really hard right now. In the last few months, you've lost your grandfather, changed your hair, and moved away from home to a school that's seven hours away. Big changes, kid. Or I guess woman now. By the looks of this letter so far, I'm sure you can tell that you have a corny sense of humor. Do you still have it? If you do, good on ya! Remember to laugh every day, like I try to do now. If not, do better, girl. Am I married? Do I have kids? I hope I'm married. You know I've never had a boyfriend and that can be a little discouraging. If I am married...who's the lucky guy? Where'd you meet him and what did you find attractive about him? Do you still find him attractive? If I'm not married, do I have a boyfriend? If not, girl get your life together. Get out there! I don't know if I want kids. I'm not really the nurturing type. But if I do, let them be themselves, teach them all you can, and let them do what they want to do in life. Don't try to control them. Don't turn into Ma...is she sitting beside you while you're reading this? If so, that was a joke..(no it wasn't). I hope you're still your unique self. Do you still draw? Are you happy? I don't like falling into a routine. Spontaneity is the way to go. Do something fun and spontaneous. Be a big kid. If you've forgotten to live life, I just reminded you to. And don't forget it again. Okay, I think I'm done. I love you and stay true to everything that you are.
Sincerely,
Your 18-year-old self

Reflection
1. This assignment was very helpful because it helps us to examine ourselves more than we would on a regular basis.
2. We often forget our youthful selves in life or we learn from past mistakes.
3. Very successful; while writing, I thought about every important aspect of my life.
4. 8; I think I did well but Stephen Frye's letter is deeper.
