1. My name is Rhyann Bowman. One of my many nicknames that I would not mind being addressed by is "Rhy". I'm from Upper Marlboro, MD., which is seven hours away. I chose to come to NC because I wanted to experience a totally different environment and most of my family is from here. Over the semester, I expect to grow as a writer. I currently have one concern: keeping up mu grades. Freedom is a double-edged sword because I can do whatever I want but it's important that I always do things that will benefit my future. I consider myself to be a decent reader and writer. I can do them well but there is always room for improvement. One fact that I believe is interesting about myself is that no one can tell of something is irritating me unless I tell them. I'm a really laid-back person.
2. I think that this article would be assigned to students to read in detail so that we can understand and become familiar with the rules of the collegiate level of education.
3. I don't find any aspect of this document irritating.
4. The single most aspect I'm guilty of is not participating in class discussions. Throughout middle school and high school, I didn't participate much in discussions. I have a fear of being the center of attention and being wrong.
5. The single most aspect I think is absurd to have to draw students' attention to is plagiarism because we should know that it's the same as stealing and we should understand why stealing isn't allowed.
6. I have never used internet/e-mail shorthand communication in an inappropriate instance.
7. As an instructor, I believe that you expect your students to complete assignments and show you respect. I came to this conclusion because if we didn't meet these expectations, you wouldn't have a reason to teach.
